My Name Is Charlotte And I Am A Perfume-aholic!

Yes, I finally accept that I may have an incy-wincy obsession with perfume. Now most people, have one "signature perfume" and stick to it, and that becomes "their scent", but me...I have several!
The newest to my collection is a bottle of D&G light blue, which my FiancĂ© Martin bought me for Christmas. I just love the citrus top notes, which linger for hours! The scent is just so clean and crisp!
Well I thought I'd take a quick snap of my collection for you. (I am also waiting delivery of Christina Aguilera Royal Desire and Mariah Carey Forever)
Bali Bliss (Avon), D&G Light Blue, Roxy Love, Herve Leger, Radiance by Britney Spears, Secret Fantasy (Avon), M by Mariah Carey, Luscious Pink by Mariah Carey, Outspoken by Fergie (Avon), Nina by Nina Ricci, Ricci Ricci by Nina Ricci, Inspire by Christina Aguilera, Christina Aguilera, Charlie Pink, Armani Code, DKNY Summer.

Unboxed are Signature DVB, (pink and yellow are now discontinued Avon) and Suis Dreams by Anna Suis

Do any of you have a love for any of these scents? And do you have a signature scent?

I also wanted to share with my recent experience of the usage of one of my "Christmas money purchases"
A Braun Silk-epil 3 epilator.

Now I know these things are meant to be rather painful to start with, but having waxed my legs in the past I thought it would be fine but oh my, I really was suprised by it. The pain does become tolerable after time I am glad to say and I think with regular use this pain would become un-noticeable.
After use pores were red,  however it does say in the instructions skin redness is a normal reaction for the first few times and if you have sensitive skin. I simply smacked a load of cocoa butter on, which soaked into my skin instantly.
So would I recommend it? So far, I'm saying yes! As it's my first date with an epilator I can't compare it to others on the market but I am impressed. It is relatively good at picking up short hairs, isn't too noisy (similar to an electric razor) and the wire is of a decent length. This cost me around £27 in the sale from Superdrug so is affordable too!

Well I hope you all have a fab new year!

Quite a biggie....

Hello you lovely people. Hope you all had a fabulous christmas. Apologies for the lack of posting, I was feeling rather poorly after Christmas (despite not consuming a single drop of alcohol) so haven't been up to blogging.

This is the outfit I wore on christmas eve, didn't manage to get a pic of christmas day for some reason. (sorry)

I also took a closer pic to show you my new hair colour.

I got lots of lovely presents for Christmas so thought I would share a few with you here. My lovely FiancĂ© spoilt me rotten, and gave me lots of shiny pennies of which I have been spending in the sales. (Will dribble in my finds in post over the next few weeks) I also plan a trip to have a "fish pedicure" after my exams are over so expect to hear about that in a few weeks time. Anyway here's a few pics to show you my delightful gifts I received.

I absolutely love all my presents, Minnie, Spongebob, New Look, Butterflies, SATC, Chipmunks....people know me so well :)

Hope you all got lots of lovely gifts, what did you get? Also what did you give?

I bought my Mum a lovely personalised "Pandora-esque" bracelet, which has mine and my siblings names on, along with our birthstones. Unfortunately, this arrived late and only came today, which I was deeply disappointed about. I was even more disappointed to find one of the names had been printed as "Amethyst" the birthstone, and also the sapphires were clear not blue (obviously the wrong birthstone). So after an hr or so long wait on a 10p per min call I am now awaiting a returns label! Oh the joy!!

Sorry for the lack of post, due to my feeling unwell, I've been glued to PJ's and comfy clothes. I did manage to venture out yesterday for a trip to see Harry Potter (rather late I know) and a chinese buffet. Have any of you seen HP, what did you think? I hate how it ends due to it only being "Part 1", hate films that end on a cliff hanger.

Aswell as my lovely Christmas presents, my man also bought me these lovely suede cowboy boots to add to my major shoe collection!

Well, I hope you all had a great christmas and incase I don't get chance to post tomorrow, Happy New Year to you all. Hope you all have a fab night however you choose to spend it. The plan for mine is a quiet one with the fella.

Cinema Trip

Normally I would be working on a Weds evening but as I worked my last shift ever last night I thought I would take full advantage of Orange Wednesdays with the company of my lovely big sis. It really was a good evening we saw Little Fockers, the third instalment of the Meet the Parents films which is a hilarious film which I would advise to watch. We also indulged ourselves with a pizza from pizza express again making full use of the 2 for 1 offer-bogof on pizza and free garlic bread/doughballs each. All in all it was a great night, and cost us a mere £10 each-WINNER :D

I made full use of not having to wear layer upon layer as a simple door to car trip meant I didn't have to brave the cold. I wore the following outfit with a black (cobweb?) scarf. Excuse the crappy picture, was a quick one before I rushed out.
Bomber Jacket - £25 Peacocks
Cat Jumper - £25 New Look
Jeggings - Primark
Boots - £25 New Look
Hope you've all had a great evening!

Christmas Crowds...

I did plan on a mini shopping venture this week with the younger brother, however I decided I wasn't brave enough to face the overwhelming of numbers of people also choosing to shop in Manchester City Centre.
So instead I invested in a spot of online shopping from Clothing at Tesco. Now this isn't a place I have ever purchased from before but have heard good things about it. I just hope that if anything is unsuitable I'll have no problems in returning it. So I thought I would share with you lovely lot what it is I am now waiting for the postman to greet me with.
£14 (Sale)
£5 (Sale)
£26.25 (Sale)
Sparkle Tights £2.10 (Sale)
£14
So what do you guys think? What are your experiences of supermarket clothes shopping? Personally I think they're a great place to find cheap pieces. I have found many a lovely thing in George@Asda.

Also now if you spend over £25 at Clothingattesco.co.uk and enter code XX-DECPROMO you receive £5 off. Delivery is also free when spending over £50 so double bonus! Enjoy!

Here comes Santa Claus.....

Hey everyone, hope you all had a great weekend and week. I've finally finished uni for christmas, and after completing a mammoth of assignments for semester 1, the revision must begin for end of semester exams and tests. No rest for the wicked!
Sorry for my lack of interaction this week, to make up for it this post is a biggie!

So last weekend was my christmas meal from work, and as I'm leaving on tuesday my last one with the company (all together now- Awwww) So as the weather was a wee bit chilly my outfit consisted of a simple dress and thick black tights.

Dress- £9 (sale) George@Asda
Want of the week
this gorgeous necklace from Peacocks seems very Alice in Wonderland-esque and just oozes girly cuteness. Definately a must have for me and at £8 quite a steal!

Bargain of the Week

this fab scarf was from a stall in my local shopping centre. I loved that it was pink, had skulls and upon wearing discovered it was also very nice and warm.

What's in my basket?
This week I purchased this fab top from Peacocks. It was actually my Mum that spotted this as she knows what I lover I am of anything with animals on and have several horse print tops.

Top - £14 Peacocks
Jeans - £10 Peacocks
Boots - £34.99 New Look

I've also took a closer pic of the boots I'm wearing. I absolutely love these boots, wedges and fur rolled into one? Yes please.

I finally claimed my ASOS from the post office and I LOVE the necklace I ordered. Not only does it have a fab spider as the main pendant but also 2 lovely butterflies.
Necklace - £12 ASOS

Along with this necklace I also ordered two eyeko nail polishes for £3.50 each. Never using any products of the eyeko brand before I didn't know what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised.

The first polish I used was Vampira polish, this is a lovely black adorned with lots of red glitter!
The polish was of good consistency and two coats gave great coverage.

Cosmic Polish is too a black polish, this time containing lots of multi-coloured glitter. I found the consistency to be slightly thinner than that of the vampira polish with some nails requiring a touch up 3rd coat, other than that I was again greatly impressed.

The great thing about both these polishes is despite them both containing glitter there is no compromise to the intensity of the black of the polish. I have often found with other black glitters, the black is more of a grey.

Desperate times....

Well this would be the part where I tell you what I've bought this week...the sad thing is for a change it's nothing!
Yes this week I have had the pleasure of being bogged down with uni work on top of being off ill with a bad back, so I haven't had any spare time to pop down to my local shopping centre for a nosey round my favourite shop New Look. Things are that bad that my friday night consists of sat at my computer desk completing assignments (with writing this blog post being my little break to myself)....like the title says, desperate times call for desperate measures.

I did manage to have a sneaky accessory purchase on ASOS however, sadly I missed the delivery man in the whole 2 hrs I was out of the house for so now I have to wait until monday for the sorting office so I shall enlighten you with my purchases next week.

This week I was blessed with a new item, bought by Mother Dearest as an early Christmas present. This beautiful Che Che watch....

which came in a lovely gift box in a gorgeous orange colour.

As soon as I saw this watch, I fell in love. As a huge animal lover I am a sucker for anything with animals on!

WISH OF THE MONTH
Normally I would write here my wish of the week, however this coat is my wish of the month. I have been dying to jump on the fur (faux of course) bandwagon and indulge in the purchase of a fur coat. Now when I saw this coat I fell in love and immediately wanted to purchase it despite the hefty price tag (although considering the time the coat "should" last, a sensible investment) only to find....out of stock!
Since then I have been searching the site daily then yesterday after weeks of waiting....hurray low stock! With great excitement, my heart pounding I added to basket....proceed to checkout.....only to find......"item now out of stock, please remove from basket". DAMN YOU!! So the hunt goes on, I've yet to find a coat as gorgeous on the highstreet.

So have any of you had an experience like mine?

Well guys, hope you enjoy your weekend, I'm off out for a meal with some lovely people from work tomorrow so I shall update you with how it goes next week.

Just little old me....

Well, so this is it, the start of my blog....where shall I start?
I’m Charlotte, a 20year old student studying biomedical science. I live with my mum, 2 brothers and an array of pets! I’m engaged to a great guy who somehow doesn’t seem to mind that I am one heck of a science geek! Aswell as my love for science I also have a major obsession with anything Spongebob or Minnie Mouse (I know what you’re thinking-big kid right? I promise I have lots of mature moments J) and of course I ADORE SHOPPING! My bedroom is just a fountain of shoes, bags and clothes (I’ve also had to invade my mum’s room by means of a clothes rack :D)
So that’s what this blog will be about; me and my love for shopping. I aim to keep you updated of what I’m wearing and my weekly purchases/purchasing desires with a bit of girly fun and me thrown in J What can I say I aim to please!

A little pic of my once iccle but now ginormous bunny rabbit-Destiny. This poor thing was saved by a friend of mine who found it being savaged by a dog, and being the kind person I am I gave it a home (I have a tendency to re-home unwanted/neglected animals much to the joy of my mother haha)

Like I said, I have an obsession with spongebob so I thought I'd stick a pic of my awesome mug of which I am currently drinking hot chocolate from whilst writing this (Tea is normally my hot drink of choice but I thought a hot choccy might help send me to the land of nod!)

Finally I thought I'd add a little piccy of me (make things a little more personal) I'm the one on the right and that gorgeous girl on the left is my friend Amy.

I'm really new to the blogging world with my only experience being a blog follower, so any helpful hint on tips on how to make my blog grow, what to include etc. would be appreciated.
