Barry M Dusky Mauve

Hello lovelies,
hope your all doing well.
I'm unsure as to when I'll be able to post again as my camera broke on me today so until I get chance to pop instore to see if it can get fixed on its warranty I'm camera-less :(

These picture are from last week but I haven't got round to uploading them. Dusky Mauve is one of the classic colours from Barry M however I only recently added it to my collection and I am now wondering why I took me so long.

In low light its a grey/purple colour, however with bright light/sunlight this baby shows it's true beauty!

With Flash

This polish wore really well as is found with most Barry M Nail Paints and was fully opaque with 2 coats.
Another winner for £2.99!

p.s - apologies for the untidy manicure, the camera shows far too many flaws that aren't visible to the naked eye - bummer!

Barry M 335 Copper

When I saw this polish on the Barry M stand last week I fell in love with it's glittering goodness.

Barry M Nail paints were on offer in Superdrug with buy 2 save £1, so with student discount it cost me only £4.50 for 2 Barry M polishes.

Due to it's multi-tonal appearance and the fact the polish glitters it was exceedingly difficult to photograph, so looks even more gorgeous in real life! In low light conditions the colour is of a brown/copper tone and in bright light gleams gold.

Natural Light

Bright Light

Low Light

I'm not sure as to whether this is a new shade from Barry M as I've never seen it before and also spotted a Black with glitter which was new to me too.

This is definitely a nail polish that will have you wanting to stare at your nails to watch it glisten, the one downfall is it required 3 coats to get a full coverage as the polish is a very fine microglitter/flake rather than being a block colour with shimmer.

Have you seen this colour before? Is it a colour you'd like to try?

Bank Holiday Weekend

Hello lovelies, hope you've all had a fabulous bank holiday weekend, I had a rather good weekend myself. Friday saw us visit a Greek restaurant in Manchester called Bouzouki By Night to celebrate my Mum's 50th Birthday. The food was delicious and after eating we were provided with entertainment in which we were all dragged up to dance around the room. My Mum decided to make a quick dash for it to the toilet before she was called up to the dancefloor so the "entertainer" decided I would make a good replacement and so had to *ahem* "bellydance" on a table! I was not impressed to say the least, especially as I was the only adult from our party to not be drinking!!
I also wore my new Iron Fist shoes and managed to walk successful without breaking my neck, I didn't manage to get a picture on my camera before I left so papped a quick one in the toilets on my phone.
Dress - Dorothy Perkins / Shoes - Iron Fist

Saturday and Sunday I spent in relaxing with the other half watching the Smallville Box Set.
Then yesterday I went to into Manchester to meet some lovely bloggers for Tea in Sugar Junction then had a class at a place called Lomography. I then spent my evening in the local pub with my Mum as her actually birthday was yesterday. .

Dress - Closet / Boots - New Look

Sorry it's a little blurry
I've mentioned this dress before on the blog but thought I'd show a full outfit picture. I can't believe the quality of this dress. It's made by Closet, and was sent to me after I won a giveaway on in which I could have a dress of my choice from the Tesco website and a make up masterclass from Jemma Kidd. The material is lovely and thick and it washes extremely well. This dress spurred me into buying another dress from Closet in the same shape; I sadly wasn't as impressed with that one as it is a silky material which creases badly.

The boots were a sale bargain from New Look a few months ago. They were reduced from £37 to 6 or 7 quid, however I forgot I had them then happened to stumble across them yesterday morning. They were sooo comfortable so will be getting worn more often now!

I wore this outfit with my new Mac (another sale bargain!) which I stupidly forgot to take a picture of, so we'll save that for another post!

How did you all spend your weekends?

In Love With My Iron Fist

Hi guys, I just had to show you my gorgeous new shoes! I love anything with skulls on and when I saw these babies it was love!

I seriously am in love with these shoes. The detailing of the skull print & hand embellishment along with the diamant√© skull to the toe. These are the first pair of Iron Fist shoes I've owned, I haven't even worn them yet and already have a second pair winging their way to me (again a present from the other half - being spoilt atm)

One thing I would say with Iron Fist is a lot of people comment on their sizes run small so do be careful. I tend to wear a 6-7, mainly a 6 but found a 7 to be a perfect fit for me.

From trying them on in the house these shoes seem pretty comfy despite the huge heel, I just hope I'm saying the same thing when I've worn them a few hours!

Have you any Iron Fist shoes? Are these a brand of shoe you would like or is the alternative style not to your taste?

Internacionale - A new store and my new shoes!

Internacionale is a store I'm lucky enough to have right on my doorstep with my closest store being a 5 minute walk away.
And now Sheffield is the latest place to be lucky enough to have a store come to their town.

The MeadowHall store was opened last week by Jessica-Jane Clements, star of the Real Hustle.
She wore a gorgeous Internacionale Monochrome body-con dress, which I now have my eye on, although it would never look nearly as good on myself! And a pair of gorgeous monochrome bow shoes to match, I've seen these instore myself and they are truly beautiful, also available in another colour which I can't remember.

I am jealous of how large this store appears, just look at that wall of shoes! My small store does not compare!

Internacionale also has a great range for children too; Sophie, the brand once found in MKOne stores back in the day. They offer the same great prices, and upto date trends but for children aged 8-15yrs. I've bought a few things for my neices from Sophie and I'm even guilty of snagging a t-shirt in aged 15yrs to squeeze into myself as I liked the design.

If you've never been to an Internacionale store and are lucky enough to have one nearby I'd certainly recommend popping in. Their prices are ridiculously affordable, there's often promotions available on their Facebook page for discounts and right now if your a student you get 20% off! If that wasn't good enough, you'll also often find items identical to those found in topshop and others for a fraction of the price; a common example being the scalloped edged vest costing 20+ in topshop and less than a tenner in Internationale, yet still with great quality.

I recently picked up a pair of lovely leopard slipper shoes. Full price these were a bargainous £16.99 however I got them for £12 in the sale! When I bought these I was stumped between these or a pair of leopard Chelsea boots for £17.99, however I may have to pop back for those in the future.

Have you ever been to internacionale? Or are you lucky enough to live near MeadowHall and will be visiting the new store if you haven't already?
