A Birthday Money Haul

Hello lovelies.
Hope your all having a fantastic bank holiday weekend. It was my birthday on Saturday and I got some money so I thought I'd show you a few of the bits and pieces I've bought so far.

All items were from the Sale plus you could get an extra 10% (with code Extra10) making them an even bigger bargain!

Was £55 Now £16 £14.40

Was £60 Now £16 £14.40

Was £45 Now £22.50 £20.25
I really hope this dress isn't too short when it arrives, I've been wanting a cream dress for a while and loved the studded collar detail. The dress is by Little Mistress, the same make as my birthday dress, which looked longer when it arrived than it did on the model so fingers crossed this is the same!

(silly me forgot to take any pictures on my birthday despite carrying a camera so no birthday outfit post!)

3 Pack Earrings

Skull Bracelet
Both were £2.99 each however it was buy one get one half price on all jewellery so it was £4.50 for the two!

Was £22.99 Now £14
This dress wasn't in the sale but was on what is called a "Wow" offer, meaning it may go back up to full price. I thought this dress would be a great versatile piece as the darker print means I can wear it right through the Autumn and Winter months too with tights and a chunky knit cardi.

Local Shoe Stall

These shoes were only £10, they also had them in beige and electric blue so I may purchase another pair in a few weeks.

This cute necklace was reduced along with a selection of new necklaces for sale. It should have been £3.49 but was only 99p.

So there are my new buys. I can't wait to get my Asos order, I hope everything looks as fab when it arrives!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Twit Twoooo

Hello lovelies,
hope your all doing well! It's been a busy week for me. Tuesday I spent the day in Southport, the weather was so temperamental - gorgeous scorching sun, yet there were two horrendous rain showers inbetween.
Wednesday my Mum came back from her two week holiday so I spent the day with her.
Thursday seen me travel up to Chester to attend an event at The Editeur, it was a fabulous night of which I will be blogging about as soon as I am sent the pictures from the evening.
(I've posted a sneak peek of an outfit from the evening on my facebook page)
Today has been a relatively quiet day, although I did go and buy a cake ready for my birthday tomorrow!

Top - Primark
Skirt - New Look
Belt - Primark
Bag - Gift
Shoes - Primark

How adorable is this bag?!?
It was a gift from my Mum when she returned from her jollies.

I thought I'd try something a little different with outfit pictures today and put little snippets into a collage rather than one full length body shot?
Do you prefer this? Would you rather have just one body shot or would you like to see a collage in addition to a full length body shot? It's always good to get feedback :)

Anyway, I hope you all have a lovely weekend!
I'm off out for a pub lunch and drinks tomorrow for my birthday with the other half, some family and a friend.

Take care,

Carnival on Saville Row

Technic carnival is the perfect dupe for OPI Rainbow Connection from the Muppets collection, and is a heck of lot cheaper at only £1!
Technic is available at Bodycare however they don't always have this specific shade in stock. You can often find this on eBay however expect to pay a few quid (you know how these eBay sellers like to charge over the odds for hard to source items).

I've tried this polish over a few different colours but I find a layer over Nails Inc Saville Row to be my favourite combination so far; the contrast of the primary colours against the deep glossy plum is so striking!

Do you have this polish? Do you own OPI rainbow connection? What is your favourite combination?

The Brunette Diaries

Hey Guys,
just a quick post to tell you all about a favourite blog of mine called The Brunette Diaries written by the lovely Lisa-Jane.

The Brunette Diaries is a blog I began reading back when I first started blogging and it was host to the first ever blog giveaway I won. The blog is a mixture of hauls and outfit posts - Lisa has such a lovely girly sense of style and is such a lovely kind natured lady with a love for animals and a cute kitty named Thomas.

I really do enjoy Lisa's blog, her posts are always the first I click on when I see a new post pop up in my dashboard. You can tell from the way Lisa writes her blog what a pleasant, friendly and kind-natured lady she is, and she will always make the effort to reply to her comments. In fact when I click on my all-time stats, her site is my number one traffic source!

Lisa-Jane isn't on twitter, so I thought I'd do a quick post to bring her blog to your attention (for those of you who haven't already heard of her) as you may not otherwise stumble upon her blog.

Hope you all enjoy Lisa-Jane's blog as much as I do!

Matalan A/W 12 My Top Picks

I'd seen a sneak preview on Look of the upcoming A/W collection from Matalan and loved so many items. I contacted Matalan and asked if it was possible to have a copy of their lookbook and here I am with my top picks.
Many of the items seem to radiate the punk/rocker/biker chick feel. There's many fab items that can be mixed and matched; go for the full on dark look or grunge up a girly dress.

I really like how different this skirt is - high low with a difference. Often pleated skirts can look ever so slightly "grannyish" however the pleated layer overlaying the lace mini skirt looks fab! Definitely something I'd buy myself providing the lace skirt isn't too "mini" as I'm not a big fan of flashing leg.
This skirt is fab as it could be dressed both up or down. A fitted grey top with lots of jewellery and high heels for a night out, and a slouchy white top with a biker perhaps? would make it fab for daytime.

I've been dying to get my hands on a biker jacket and as soon as I get my student loan through I'll be purchasing this baby. It's only £35 and has fab ruched detailing to the waists and sleeves. I've many an outfit that I often think, I'd love a biker to throw over and make it less "girly".

How amazing are these bargain studded pumps? You'd likely see the exact style in Topshop for 4 times the price easily!

This dress would be perfect for all those christmas parties. I feel its a rather understated leopard print that oozes glamour. I love longer length of the peplum; this dress would look equally fab on someone with an hourglass figure or for creating curves on someone who's a little less blessed in the hips department giving the illusion of an hourglass shape.

So what do you think of my top picks? Will you be hotfooting it down to Matalan this A/W? I most definitely will be, student card in hand!

Wednesday Addams

There's something about this dress that just screams "Wednesday Addams" don't you agree? I think it's the contrast of the wide white collar against the black of the dress.

Can you believe this dress was a bargain £5! I got it from a cheap store near to where I live; most of it's stock is cheap tatt but there's often a gem hidden away in there so I like to pop in every now and then.
It's a little shorter than I'd usually wear however thick black tights (these ones aren't the best, damn you Superdrug!) sort that right out!

I wore this yesterday I said goodbye to a very dear friend who was heading back home to Germany after a year studying in the UK. I waved her off at the airport and there were lots of tears, however I'm sure we'll be seeing each other again very soon!
As a leaving present I embellished a plain photoframe with heart shaped diamant├ęs so they spelt out "FRIENDS". I originally tried to find a friends frame however they were all landscape and my picture was portrait, however I felt the personalised touch added that extra something.
I tweeted a picture of the frame to ask opinions as I was worried incase my friend wouldn't like it, however she was so happy when I gave it her and couldn't stop hugging me and almost cried she loved it so much.

Anyway, I hope you all have a fabulous weekend!
I don't have anything special planned, I'm just looking forward to relaxing, fingers crossed the weather will be nice!

FREE shoes!

A short while back I headed to the Nelly High Heels event. The event was organised by in association with Fashiolista. It was a public event in which the first 200 (if I remember correctly) people through the door received a free pair of shoes from a selection of the upcoming A/W collection. We had to choose 3 styles and give our size and we would be sent one of our selections for completely free!

A week ago I received an email from UPS saying my shoes were on their way and sure enough they arrived on Tuesday. I was so excited to open my shoes as I had no idea which ones I were going to receive. I'd chosen the same style of shoe for all 3 options however I opted for them in fuchsia, cobalt blue and black with star studs.

As you can see I received the blue pair and they are truly beautiful! I'm also loving the lace print box!
They're a little too big however a pair of insoles will sort this right out! (A size below would probably be too tight across the width of my foot)
These shoes aren't yet on the website yet, however a white "leather" pair in the same style are available.

I'd recommend signing up to the newsletter for as they regularly have offers of which they inform you of by email. Today I received an email about their selection of shoes for £19.95 and I have to say I've fallen in love with a fair few pairs...

Low Matsumoto 3

Is a website you have heard of?

Disclaimer: I am in no way affiliated with this company. I went to the event after hearing about it over on Nora Daisy's blog, and wanting to share with you the fab shoes!

Floral Fancy

Hello lovelies,
I've had a bit of a break from blogging, one because I've been a little busy and two because I've been enjoying having a break after finishing my year placement. My project report has been written for a few weeks it's just a case of a final proof read before printing and submitting.

The past two weeks have been fun ones, involving relaxing, days out and last weekend seen my sister getting married. I was chief bridesmaid and was so emotional walking down the isle seeing my big sis get hitched. The day was wonderful; so happy and full of fun, it couldn't have gone any better.

Anyway, this outfit is one I wore on Friday night for a gathering around my friends house to say goodbye as she is heading back to Germany.

The dress I love, and was a complete bargain. A local independently run store was closing down and had a huge sale so I snagged this for £12.50! It did come with a bright pink belt however it's a little too long so I swapped it for a primark one (a bargain £1).
My hair was a quick 30 minute job using my babyliss conical wand whilst watching a film (multi-tasking at its best).

Anyway, I hope you all are having a fabulous summer (with what few days of sun we've had) and hopefully I'll get to post more frequently now :)

p.s. sorry the images are a little blurred, don't understand what's happened. May be a problem with my brother's photography skills, or I need to play with my camera settings!
