The search for a dress...

As I've finished my degree and am now awaiting my results, I shall be (all going well) graduating in 6 weeks. I'm falling prey to the blogging cliché of a "graduation outfit wishlist(?)". The truth is I really don't have an idea of what I want to wear!! Therefore any help any of you could provide would be fantastic!! Whether you've graduated yourself, been to a graduation, are preparing for your own graduation or have simply spotted a pretty dress somewhere.

Typically, my style of dress is something with a slightly fuller skirt, however my thinking is that I'd be best opting for something slightly more fitted as to not look like I have a ginormous derrière when wearing my gown. It's often suggested to wear something with buttons as to attach the hood of the gown, however previous graduates have advised that a safety pin will do the same job??

Lipsy Lace Shift Dress - £60
So far the only item that has caught my eye is this Lipsy dress. However, I'm worried I won't have the figure to pull it off and the price is a little more than I would have planned for.

So please give me your suggestions! Send me links to pretty dresses, or links to your blogs if you've done a post on your graduation or prospective graduation outfits... I need inspiration!

Princess Decoupage Shoes

Hi guys, remember me?

Well after a long (and much needed, rather demanded) break from blogging, I am officially back in business.
If you read my last post you will know that my break was due to being bogged down with my final year of university. With so many assignments, when it came to taking a break at the end of the day all I wanted to do was curl up in bed watching a box set.
Well, after handing in my dissertation and spending the past 6 weeks revising I have finally finished all my university exams and assignments and I am now awaiting my results so fingers crossed!

Anyway, whilst revising for my exams I ordered all the bits and pieces to make the following pair of shoes, as a little something to look forward to after my exams. Then come Monday, my first weekday free from revision for the first time in 6 weeks I made these little beauties...
They're not fully waterproof as I haven't sprayed them with a sealant. I do have some but a part of me is scared that I will ruin them so I think I'll be saving these for one of those rare non-rainy days aka those few days of summer we get. I'm picturing them with a little denim summer dress or a pretty pink floral dress.

They're not perfect but it's the first decoupage project I've attempted.

So what do you think of my DIY shoes?
