Small yet mighty: Denman Tangle Tamer

Let me introduce you to my hairs best friend... The Denman tangle tamer.

As you can see I've had this little baby for a fair while now (possibly around 18 months? Maybe longer) and I honestly don't know how I ever lived without it!

As many of you know my hair is rather long. I'm fortunate enough in that my hair is poker straight, however the sheer length of it means brushing whist wet can be a bit of a difficulty. However using this baby makes that task a lot less arduous. If for some reason I'm stuck without this god-send whilst my hair is wet, it's safe to say I get in a bit of a panic and detangling my wet mane can become a rather painstaking task (literally and metaphorically speaking).

Another thing I've also noticed is that my hair feels so much smoother after brushing with this, it simply glides through and doesn't drag at your hair.

The one thing I would say about this brush is that it isn't the best brush for styling as the formation of the bristles means it doesn't "dig deep" into the thickness of your hair (if that makes sense?).

I would however highly recommend this brush if your hair is prone to tangles or simple if you want to be a bit gentler on your hair whilst brushing when wet.

I'd also recommend this brush for anyone with children who aren't big fans of having their hair brushed. My nieces are those kind of girls but both love stealing my tangle tamer whenever they come round. If you check out the Denman website, you will actually see this brush is marketed as a child's brush, but it really is one for all the family!

I believe the blue shade I have may have been a limited edition colour, but the tangle tamer is available in pink at Denman (£6.20), John Lewis (£6.13), and Superdrug (£7.09).
Denman also have a black version (£6.20), and a super snazzy yellow bumble bee version! (£6.98).

Have you tried the Tangle Tamer? Is it something you feel you need in your life?

I'm thinking of investing in the new yellow design! Buzzzzzzzzzzz!

A Giveaway!!

As I mentioned in this post, I recently attended an event hosted by Swimwear 365.

In addition to the lovely goodies we were given on the evening, we were also lucky enough to be able to pick an item from their site to be sent to us for review!

Sadly however, the item doesn't fit despite being ordered in my usual size.

However, my loss is your gain as S365 have kindly allowed me to offer it to you as a giveaway prize!!!

The dress is a size 8, however it does appear to run a little small in size, but does have an elasticated panelling to the back.

The giveaway will end 1 month from today (19/07/2013)

All details can be found in the below form, the one essential requirement is that your a follower and you leave a comment with your top pick from the Swimwear365 website. However, the more things you do the more chances you have of winning!

My Life in Snaps

Hello you lovely lot. Hope your all doing well! Despite having finished uni I've not really got back into the swing of blogging. Mainly because I've had a severe lack of inspiration for posts and don't want to blog just for the hell of it, and secondly because I've been job hunting!
I was hoping to be returning with some outfit posts, however as I've not had much reason for leaving the house other than to visit the gym, my outfits haven't been all that exciting!

Anyway, I thought I'd share a few snaps with you from my iPhone to show you a few of the things I've been up to recently. I often enjoy posts like this on other blogs, so let me know if it's something you like to see and I can feature it on the blog, although I do admit my life isn't all that exciting :p

Swimwear 365 Beach Party

Not too long ago, I was kindly invited along to the Swimwear 365 Beach Party event held at the Revolucion De Cuba in Manchester.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by the lovely girls from S365, adorned with a flower garland and given a wristband containing tokens we could exchange for yummy cocktails!!!

Me and the lovely Shen of Shenmoo enjoying a cocktail!

There was an opportunity to have our nails decorated with designs akin to some of S365 top bikini prints, and to devour yummy food, but most importantly we got to admire pieces from the amazing new range.

We were also asked to pick our favourite piece from the range, mine was a fabulous dip hem dress, as not only do S365 sell a gorgeous range of bikinis and swimsuits, but also a range of holiday fashion  such as dresses and skirts and even footwear like converse! They also cater for men and children too, so it really is a site for all the family!

Oli Red Chiffon Floral Dip Hem Maxi Dress
S365 were also kind enough to send us home with a fabulous goody bag! There was a table with a selection of numbered goody bags. We each had to "tweet for a treat" with our number, as each bag had a different array of goodies inside!

I tweeted for bag 18!

Thanks again to S365 for a fabulous evening!

Have you heard of S365 before? I'll be heading there to do my bikini shopping the next time I plan on jetting off on my hols!

p.s. thankyou to Shen and S365 for images
